Managing Director, CEO of a utility scale solar PV generation project development firm. Senior executive and Board Chair for joint venture between IPP and technology manufacturer. Joint venture objective was to develop and monetize utility scale solar PV projects in the USA.
Sr. Vice President, Commercial Development for an Independent Power Producer ("IPP") Responsible for commercial operations, business expansion, transaction origination, and negotiation of commercial agreements for a significant portfolio of IPP energy projects including wind, solar PV, concentrated solar thermal, carbon capture and sequestration, and natural gas generation. Duties within this position included:
Senior Director, Business Development – Natural Gas producer and marketing firm Responsible for business expansion, natural gas purchase and sale transaction origination and contract negotiations for a regional natural gas marketing firm operating in the Western USA. CEO – Inland Energy Consulting, Inc. Founder of this firm, which was created to assist utilities, regulators and merchant firms in the energy industry. Engagements and experiences include:
Director, Western Markets – Marketing and Trading Company. Responsible for transaction origination, managing client relationships and designing and pricing longer-term structured electricity and natural gas transactions in the Western USA. This included developing and implementing the Company’s marketing plans and strategies and presentation of those plans to senior management. Vice President (partner) - Regional Energy Consulting Firm Responsible for operations, profit and loss and business development of the Spokane, WA branch office of a multi-disciplinary utility consulting firm. In addition to various technical duties, supervised 8 professional staff and performed marketing and business development activities necessary to support the firm’s business objectives. Vice President, Marketing for Utility Affiliated Power Marketing firm. Responsible for origination of longer term power, natural gas, and ancillary services agreements in western USA markets. Supervised a staff of 10 individuals engaged in power and gas marketing activities. Power Supply - Investor Owned Utility. Various roles including wholesale power marketing, generation project siting and development. Liaison with state regulatory agency regarding new generation, and negotiation of commercial agreements relating to power purchases and sales, ancillary services and gas fired power generation project development |
